Sitting at a traffic light. Wandering mindlessly through an office. The television is on but you can't tell anyone what's being played. Your mind body and soul take control of what little space is available. But what is space? Is is communication? Is it a mind breaking down? How can you learn to listen to space?

I was shocked to see how many lawmakers were standing up and cheering during the President's State of the Union message. Why were they taking on the image of a church? That's where people stand up to be seen. You might be motivated to scream out, "Amen." But what are you doing to live in the present? To take the message and bend it into your life and style. Lawmakers were on call to be seen. Show your support so the speaker won't feel alone. But you truly want to find peace. Live in the moment. Put energy in the word. Rather than accepting what's being shared just because they're standing at the pulpit.

I've spent a lot of hours staring at clouds. I've always believed it God talking to us. But who knows the language? And what does it mean when God puts no cloud above our wandering head?
