Hello Cann You Hear Me

Something very different today. I've spent the past 2.5 years following a voice I heard in November 2012. The voice said, "You are going to write a new book. But this one is going to be in the language that you speak. Poetry. The difference between this book and any other that's been published. You are going to stay true to who you are as a writer. Your accent will be heard without having to sacrifice it. As inspired by the way Mark Twain wrote about his challenges as a writer in his autobiography."

Blinking Lights

t's not fair! Everything electrical has blinking lights. They serve as signals. Everything is ok or you need to make a change. What are we sending out as a signal? I think we have blinking lights too! But we choose not to use them.

What If In A Dream

I'm not a fan of dreams. Which is probably why I love studying what dreams mean. I can't stand to have dreams. I will wake myself up to escape a world of fake smiles and people that have learned how to fly. But! What if a dream?

Still The Same

How many times during the average week do you look at the image in the mirror and hate it because it always looks the same? Are you afraid of the same? What if there's something worth holding in being the same?

That Moment

At 52 I still believe I'm one of the luckiest people on the planet to still have both of my parents. And then you get the phone call. The transition is the moment God creates while reaching through Heaven for the finger tips and prints of the children he now needs in a place much warmer, filled with unconditional love and a spirit that no one on this giant rock can relate with. But there are a lot who speak of it. Many people run from the transition. It's at that moment that we should begin to listen.

The End Of Innocence

We have developed into a society that takes without having to give back. How we are treated in the workplace trains the man and woman to go home and add a continuation to the bad treatment. We take. Then take more. We've entered a time in history that resembles the renaissance era. Where being innocent is a reason to take more. Sacrifice everything! God will make more! I didn't say it. Those you've chosen to be a leader have.

I love how these weather men and women are getting it right. When they say there's going to be an ice storm in the south. You better be buying bread and milk. What if we could predict the weather changes in our personal lives? Would you change? Could you be prepared?

Speak the Street

Too many hide from the challenges that hide them. Life isn't supposed to be about doing then running. Does a blade of grass disappear after its appeared next to a wild onion? We weaken our dreams and desire by the way we handle the memories shoved in boxes. The skeleton in the closet doesn't live there anymore. You've taught it how to fear, doubt and bring shame. Forced Into Silence Is Still A Message

I don't type out my daily thoughts. I write. Not with a pencil. My writing instrument is an ink pen. My choice of tools doesn't gift me with enough sight to tell when the thoughts can no longer be written. Basically meaning... have you ever been caught in a thought and every pen you pick up won't write? What is the message?

The news channel is overflowing with stories about hackers. Everyday someone is breaking through security and stealing information about consumers. What you don't hear about are the number of people that break past your personal walls and steal from your soul. How can you personally rebuilt when family, friends and work have left you empty. You have been hacked.

Does Sharing Lead To Threats

From day one you are told to share. "Told" And if you don't a price will be paid. "Sharing" involves a 51% chance that the giver truly doesn't want to participate.

Mocking Made Legal

I have no problem exposing a bully. The problem is. I get in trouble for being attention to a growing crisis. Nobody in the workplace wants to talk about employee bullying. Leadership by way of intimidation is the modern day disease and not one lawmaker will reach in to protect the employee. Not one celebrity on television will step forward offering a reason to make a change. The act of bullying is the way our lives have always been. It's right there in the Bible. But that doesn't make it right. Therefore I challenge you to write.

Protest But Do So In Peace

We get angry way too quickly. Believe it or not we weren't born to burn out our passion to be heard. But the moment you've been angered the first thing to do is vocally protest. We love throwing all of our anger onto a fire that might not even be a flame. A deer was recently illegal killed in my forest. I wanted to make a lot of noise. My heart heard a different song.

It was during the summer of 1994 that I stumbled across Julia Cameron in Santa Barbara, California. I had spent my entire childhood and early adult life chasing dreams and completely lost focus on the purpose of why I was given the keys to drive. The Artist Way spoke a language that no loved one nearest your heart will ever share. Julia has the courage to be truthful to the creative mind and heart. How often do you turn your dreams off? And you wonder why you aren't happy?

Testify

What is the message you're sharing with the circles you keep? More importantly what messages are you picking up throughout the week that actually make you weak? The commercials on the Super Bowl were great examples of selling a message. While those advertisers spent 4.3 million dollars per 30 seconds. The average person pays nothing to get their word out on Face Book. I have a difficult time buying into what the Preacher man is sharing. I don't get poetry and the use of it. Then I learned how to look beyond the testimony.
