The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter 182

If team leaders spent more time crafting the skills of the individual we'd have amazingly stronger forces on the workplace front.  But it doesn't work that way.  The goal is to empower the team with playful atmospheres without studying the source of how an individual's playing field processes birth and rebirth.  Isn't that what creativity is?  One project leading to the next, two never being the same? I love walking into a Walmart that isn't labeled a super store!  My natural need to search is going to be fed.  The little guy Walmarts aren't laid out the same.  I read about a grocery store's sliver of success was based on how every location in every town had to be 100% spot on identical because their clients know what they want and where it should be found.  For two weeks I walked into as many of these grocery stores as I could and watched people.  I wanted to see who walked in, got what they wanted then hit the checkout counter.  Didn't see it.  Crafting the skills of the individual requires opposites attracting.  Friction and conflict are part of the glory story.  If everybody on the team is drinking the same Jesus juice where's the authentic growth?  I love sitting down with individuals struggling with how nobody wants to hear their ideas, respects what they bring to the business and how difficult it can be to push their limitations toward hourly goal changes.  They only thing keeping humans from being a computer is team leaders usually forgive the digital device when it crashes.  Opposites attract.  Compassion, a willingness to listen, forgive and build with should be the daily diet.  Look at the group Chicago.  Not just one of the biggest most successful bands of all time but member wise they have a lot of individuals in that band and on that team.  Creative people that bring their individual ideas and energy.  They work so well together that they travel with a mobile recording studio.  Not only are they doing live performances but they're endlessly pumping out the jams.  Recognizing their individuality as a team put them in a place on the charts most never see.  Their new album of original music debuted at number one.  Crafting the skills of the individual starts with leaders that must know every shape and shade of art and live it as an individual before hitting a team building meeting.  Bring yourself first.  Be the individual that helped others design mind blowing success.

Faithful vs Faith Filled

<a class="spreaker-player" href="https://www.spreaker.com/episode/20791059" data-resource="episode_id=20791059" data-width="100%" data-height="200px" data-theme="light" data-playlist="false" data-playlist-continuous="false" data-autoplay="false" data-live-autoplay="false" data-chapters-image="true" data-episode-image-position="right" data-hide-logo="false" data-hide-likes="false" data-hide-comments="false" data-hide-sharing="false" data-hide-download="true">Listen to "Faithful vs Faith Filled" on Spreaker.</a><script async src="https://widget.spreaker.com/widgets.js"></script>

I'm not a wordsmith nor do I play one on the radio.  I do though love playing with words.  I have a dictionary with me at all times.  While writing,  words will hit me in ways that invite me to study their truer definition while opening the heart to the origin of their purpose and play.  On this podcast I sort of get in an argument with my multiple layers of thought based on there being a huge difference between faithful and faith filled.  One can easily introduce us to being faithless while the other opens the door to staying focused on all things we grow with.  It becomes the power of choice.  If a little short of faith the heart is aware of how it can maintain its reach toward changing it.  Whereas faithful can be so many things including an excuse as to why your personal studies have slowed or disappeared.  Questions are in your everyday and for most of us the one word so many try to bring answers to is faithful.  If you aren't feeling it.  Oh well maybe another day.  I compare the two words with our present place with Hollywood's way of sharing the stories of Freddie Mercury, Elton John, Judy Garland and even Richard Jewell.  The Bio Pic's aren't the real story!  They are based on.  Think about your own journey.  Are you living a life of what really took place or is your Bio Pic being rewritten.  Being faithful vs faith filled.  Knowing the steps and how being filled keeps your focus on the vine baring fruit vs just another day of questions.  Word play.  When your mind doesn't want to listen to how we use words.  So it crafts a different definition in hopes of being stronger in choice.

No Connection While Shooting For Perfection

<a class="spreaker-player" href="https://www.spreaker.com/episode/20714268" data-resource="episode_id=20714268" data-width="100%" data-height="200px" data-theme="light" data-playlist="false" data-playlist-continuous="false" data-autoplay="false" data-live-autoplay="false" data-chapters-image="true" data-episode-image-position="right" data-hide-logo="false" data-hide-likes="false" data-hide-comments="false" data-hide-sharing="false" data-hide-download="true">Listen to "No Connection While Shooting For Perfection" on Spreaker.</a><script async src="https://widget.spreaker.com/widgets.js"></script>

This one's gonna be way out there.  Most of them are.  I'm ok with that.  Daily writing.  It's got a story all its own.  What keeps it alive and moving in forward motion is how so much of what's put down on paper has a constant connection to continuation.  How far did that one fly over your heart?  On this podcast I read from October of 2016.  Today's physical date is December 13, 2019.  Inside the paragraphs the writer in 2016 speaks of how he knows that one day he'll read from the writing but the day hasn't been nor will it be handed to him.  I'd love to go back to that guy in 2016 and congratulate him on trusting the source of the path.  Sorry it took over three years to make it possible.  What he wrote about in 2016 was based on events brought forward through the writing of 2015.  See what I mean.  The continuation.  The focus being put on speaking to a future self.  How you act and react today will always have an impact or infection on an unannounced day in the future.  When you get there you might say, "Oh crap.  What can I learn from this experience moving forward through continuation?"  We are a series of events usually covered by an addiction to always wanting to belong to something new and improved.  This is why I try so hard to invite you to write down your thoughts.  Not on social media.  Not in a phone conversation.  Your future self is waiting to hear from you.  When you arrive don't rely on a memory that you're heart has spent the last three years rewriting.  You aren't making connections while shooting for perfection.

The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter 181

<a class="spreaker-player" href="https://www.spreaker.com/episode/20681912" data-resource="episode_id=20681912" data-width="100%" data-height="200px" data-theme="light" data-playlist="false" data-playlist-continuous="false" data-autoplay="false" data-live-autoplay="false" data-chapters-image="true" data-episode-image-position="right" data-hide-logo="false" data-hide-likes="false" data-hide-comments="false" data-hide-sharing="false" data-hide-download="true">Listen to "The Lyrics From Billys Forest Chapter 181" on Spreaker.</a><script async src="https://widget.spreaker.com/widgets.js"></script>

Why does it feel like time flies too quickly and yet the seasons are always on time?  No day passes that each of us don't endure our own personal seasons.  We just like to cover them up, run and hide and or just ignore.  Then one day it all catches up.  Unexpected lows, a disconnection from work, friends and family.  A Debbie Downer outlook on the layout of the future.  During a conversation with a nationally known veterinarian I brought up something that's caught my attention, "Why is it that I'm seeing more pictures of how dogs and cats are being destructive then cute little fuzzy moments of love?"  The doctor laughed and replied, "Yes.  There are a lot of people, more than normal going through this stage in their life and I don't see it changing."  On this podcast we talk about our personal seasons and how each one brings down the leaves or flat out doesn't provide the fruit on your vine of life.  Within it's exposure I bring up the very subject of separation anxiety and how in reality it might be more than just another bill to pay but rather a lesson on how you're being treated and through the animal's bad behavior you can learn to love again.  I've not kept my journey with Jazzie a quiet subject.  Mainly because too many dogs and cats are being returned to shelters that said they won't put any down.  But do you know the real story?  You took them back.  Out of sight out of mind.  A lesson was waiting to be learned.  Don't return.  Find the truer calling.  What stings now will grow into a very peaceful tomorrow.

It All Changed

<a class="spreaker-player" href="https://www.spreaker.com/episode/20652835" data-resource="episode_id=20652835" data-width="100%" data-height="200px" data-theme="light" data-playlist="false" data-playlist-continuous="false" data-autoplay="false" data-live-autoplay="false" data-chapters-image="true" data-episode-image-position="right" data-hide-logo="false" data-hide-likes="false" data-hide-comments="false" data-hide-sharing="false" data-hide-download="true">Listen to "It All Changed" on Spreaker.</a><script async src="https://widget.spreaker.com/widgets.js"></script>

This one's a hard one. Yet it resembles a wide open door that screams, "This is what I'm talking about!" I saw the new Clint Eastwood movie Richard Jewell. The one that puts a lot of attention on the Summer Olympic's bombing in Atlanta. July 26 1996. I was in there three days before the event. A radio station promotion. Running around gathering content. It's what radio people do. It's not always about play. It's about taking the experience and putting into words so listeners can be taken to that place. Maybe that's why this movie triggered me. Three days before the bomb went off we were taking in the sights and sounds. How often does the average person go to the Olympics? If you frequent these podcasts then you're already familiar with how I strongly do all I can to convince you to write daily. I know it's a pain. I've been doing it for 25 years! I bet I've had more days complaining about writing then I have enjoying the moment. So what does this have to do with Atlanta? July 1996. Twenty three years ago. I've written for twenty five. All of my journals are held tightly in protective containers. 5:23 this morning I was leaping into those boxes knowing exactly where July 27, 1996 was. I didn't know of the bombing until the next morning. So easily we can talk about our actions and reactions to this tragic event and everything that followed but firmly I say that's not right. Unless you wrote it down all you hold is a story that will be bent and twisted into a shape of how you see it today not as it was happening. I go back to that moment. It's in the daily writing. Not only did the movie trigger me but the writing totally took over in ways that instantly brought forward the way it was. How we heal as a nation from such unending thunder? Do we heal or learn to set it aside. Then when Clint Eastwood releases a movie about it the sudden jolt of reality consumes every space in your mind body and soul. Clint is currently under attack for this movie because critics don't know what his truer message is. They say he's exposing an area of American history where fake news was believed more than fact. In the film Richard's lawyer talks about how the Jewell family had come under attack by the two biggest super powers in the world. The U.S. Government and the media. July 27 1006. It all changed. Putting my hands on the pages written upon on that day 23 years ago showcases nothing more than a daily writer trying to hold onto the moments three days before the bomb at the Summer Olympics. I read those pages too. Share your story or someone will write it for you.

The Power To Say Move On

<a class="spreaker-player" href="https://www.spreaker.com/episode/20623622" data-resource="episode_id=20623622" data-width="100%" data-height="200px" data-theme="light" data-playlist="false" data-playlist-continuous="false" data-autoplay="false" data-live-autoplay="false" data-chapters-image="true" data-episode-image-position="right" data-hide-logo="false" data-hide-likes="false" data-hide-comments="false" data-hide-sharing="false" data-hide-download="true">Listen to "The Power To Say Move On" on Spreaker.</a><script async src="https://widget.spreaker.com/widgets.js"></script>

Kermit The Frog has always been upfront on how tough it is to be green.  Yet you never catch the Muppet hanging his head in sadness and self doubt.  Neither should you.  It's incredibly tough being ourselves.  All those voices constantly digging up bones from a past you can't change or a future we can't seem to arrange.  The first step of having a great day is the accountability of actuality.  What are you setting out to accomplish?  Does it involve you or are you fixed on making sure all things are done to keep the boss at bay?  So much creativity is lost in our everyday because we don't take the time to listen.  I'm blessed with the opportunity share messages with other creative minds just starting out.  To watch them try to tap into an energy source is entertaining,  They know its there.  That's why they're here!  From the sidelines I take note of the difficulties of reaching goals, ambitions and dreams.  It's not paying off as quickly as they said it would.  95% of us have no idea who we truly are.  We get up, get dressed, drive the car and make our way through a day designed by habits and expectations.  Ask someone who they truly are and most of the time we get shrugged shoulders or excuses as to why something isn't panning out like it should.  We aren't listening to our creative self.  The outside shell has to get the bills paid, buy the latest smartphone and look all pretty because that's where acceptance begins.  Listening to yourself first is how you get to grow forward.  I didn't say act upon.  Listen.  I daily write twice a day. 4:30 am then again in the late afternoon.  Investing in the art of listening clears the mind body and soul.  A single raindrop can't fall onto a mountainside and make it to the ocean if all is says is, "I don't have the time."  Investing in yourself is a requirement.  Not materialistic stuff you can later dump on eBay.  Your thoughts, ideas, the flat out feeling of what it's like to be in a moment of "Now".  I see so many people with creative dreams melt during times of growth.  I hear every excuse to which I've used decades before.  And where does any of it get us?  Learning to listen to yourself empowers you to say, "Move on."  Yeah...  Listening to that gut feeling or new idea.  Give it a voice.  Listen to it.  If it doesn't fit.  Tell it to move on.  This is your kingdom of self.  Protect your investment with solid support and belief.  The power to say move on.

Dad's Cameo

<a class="spreaker-player" href="https://www.spreaker.com/episode/20528498" data-resource="episode_id=20528498" data-width="100%" data-height="200px" data-theme="light" data-playlist="false" data-playlist-continuous="false" data-autoplay="false" data-live-autoplay="false" data-chapters-image="true" data-episode-image-position="right" data-hide-logo="false" data-hide-likes="false" data-hide-comments="false" data-hide-sharing="false" data-hide-download="true">Listen to "Dad&#39;s Cameo In My Dreams" on Spreaker.</a><script async src="https://widget.spreaker.com/widgets.js"></script>

I've never found faith or received a rush from a dream.  Not my cup of tea to talk about what ran wild while attempting to sleep.  And yet Keith Richards participated with a dream to come up with Satisfaction for the Rollingstones.  Michael Jackson used to keep a tablet and writing instrument beside his bed.  Being a 25 year daily writer I too have played that game but had to end the journey of midnight message making.  Once you wake up the creative monster it's like a child, it doesn't want to go back to bed.  On this podcast we go back three years to October of 2016 where the person I am, he who doesn't talk about dreams, penned out the events of a dream.  My father who had passed in 2015 made a cameo appearance.  He brought a message.  Or so says the writing because in 2019 I don't remember any of this unfolding.  My father said, "From where you stand we see only the light of what is becoming.  Unless your heart has settled on the dull dimness of yesterday's bread crumbs."   Interpretation is the only tool we hold here.  A seed planted in a dream over three years ago inviting fruit to the vine this present time.  What I got from it was a simple message connected to living a life of mindfulness.  From where you stand we see only the light of what is becoming.  Meaning now!  From this place right here.  What you see is only the light of what's becoming.  You see the future every moment your eyes are open.  I'm not saying ten years.  I mean split seconds of time swiftly racing to touch your thinking.  In all things that you see it's the future reaching.  Then your brain processes it creating decisions and or experiences.  The second part of the message from Dad's cameo puts focus on making a choice.  Unless your heart has settled on the dull dimness of yesterday's bread crumbs.  We've gone from seeing the future to living in the past.  A choice.  You can't rewrite your travels.  Marty McFly from Back To The Future sure wanted to.  If Hollywood can't neither can you.  Enjoy your bad days.  They help shape what you're gonna quickly label a good one or a blessed adventure.  Allow your future to become without having to settle on yesterday's bread crumbs.

Locate Your Pace To Create Space

<a class="spreaker-player" href="https://www.spreaker.com/episode/20502929" data-resource="episode_id=20502929" data-width="100%" data-height="200px" data-theme="light" data-playlist="false" data-playlist-continuous="false" data-autoplay="false" data-live-autoplay="false" data-chapters-image="true" data-episode-image-position="right" data-hide-logo="false" data-hide-likes="false" data-hide-comments="false" data-hide-sharing="false" data-hide-download="true">Listen to "Locate Your Pace To Create Space" on Spreaker.</a><script async src="https://widget.spreaker.com/widgets.js"></script>

The title is too heavy for most to carry.  Mainly because most of us don't understand what keeping a pace is all about.  Maybe we do it while working out in a gym or taking a walk with the dog.  There's a chance you might tap into a pace during the holiday because family and friends have a way of allowing you to settle the hell down.  Then on January 2nd you're back in the race.  On this podcast I dive into the subject of how the wind is never caught by a tree but rather the limbs and leaves allow the wind to move through it.  Since childhood I've always loved watching Willows in the wind.  They bend in every direction without ever snapping.  I'm not being negative but our careers, family life, circle of friends and whatever else we're doing have a unique grip of their own on how we're moving through life.  Toss in some religion, spirituality or other forms of belief and now you've got to live up to those images.  How can you live in the "Now" when your heart and head are endlessly fed the events of yesterday, how you were treated as a child or your early days of building a successful career?  How do you handle the everyday stress caused by coworkers, constantly demanding bosses or breath stealing cycles of bad luck with the car, washer and dryer or refrigerator?  The funniest thing about all of this is its the only thing we truly have control of.  Your "Now."   Sure tree limbs fall daily from trees crashing into cars, homes and into a million pieces on the street.  The wind never finds reason to fight with the tree.  Nor does the tree build a wall or mountain to keep it from whipping through it's process of delivering.  Why are you any different than a black panther, cougar, kitten or ball of energy doing nothing but bringing something forward?  In my daily writing today I wondered what it was like to be that kid taking his first step.  How long did I stay on the floor or ground before I got back up?  I was there when my Grandson rode his first bike.  Ten minutes after he took off with a giant smile he returned with huge tears in his eyes, "I crashed."  The words that came from me are still held, "You have to learn how to fall as well."  Being mindfully present means letting all things move through you.  You're hording enough junk in your house.  Keep it away from your successes and struggles in life.  Be in control by putting belief and awareness in your "Now."

The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter 180

<a class="spreaker-player" href="https://www.spreaker.com/episode/20451895" data-resource="episode_id=20451895" data-width="100%" data-height="200px" data-theme="light" data-playlist="false" data-playlist-continuous="false" data-autoplay="false" data-live-autoplay="false" data-chapters-image="true" data-episode-image-position="right" data-hide-logo="false" data-hide-likes="false" data-hide-comments="false" data-hide-sharing="false" data-hide-download="true">Listen to "The Lyrics From Billys Forest Chapter 180" on Spreaker.</a><script async src="https://widget.spreaker.com/widgets.js"></script>

When it comes to anything creative I'm pretty much a daredevil. I love the thrill of giving birth to new ideas while breaking down what's required to see the entire project through. I've earned the honor of being the author of six published books. You don't wake up one day and suddenly all the pages are sitting in front of you. The book Blizzard White Canvas/Halloween 78 took 32 years to get published. The original layout of the story came through me while in the eleventh grade. I still have those notebook pages and fear everyday that grows forward because it was all written in pencil. On this podcast we openly speak about how everyone of us were born to be a voice. That doesn't mean you're headed to City Council or heading up the OM position at work. We are the voice of what we believe. For many that's extremely difficult because we're not always on the same page as others. In this game of wanting to feel accepted or a part of something that often requires a lot of sacrifice. Giving up on your dreams and ambitions because it doesn't fit in with what others are trying to accomplish. Being on the Broadcast lecture tour I meet plenty of students who've waited over half their life to be sitting in those seats. I do ask them why it took so long. Their answers are brilliant and on fire with new shapes and shades of ambition. They've made the jump. That 4,000 foot cliff with not a bottom to be found. Too many times we give up on what we were truly called for because the monetary payoff doesn't exist. So we change to a different lane only to spend the rest of our lives wondering what if? The truer gain in your success isn't going to be a paycheck. It's actually discovering fruit on your life vine. Always somewhere in the middle. Never at the end. Because a vine has no end. It's always stretching. Therefore its your continuation and it deserves to be celebrated.

What's The Why In Your Re-Invention

<a class="spreaker-player" href="https://www.spreaker.com/episode/20426390" data-resource="episode_id=20426390" data-width="100%" data-height="200px" data-theme="light" data-playlist="false" data-playlist-continuous="false" data-autoplay="false" data-live-autoplay="false" data-chapters-image="true" data-episode-image-position="right" data-hide-logo="false" data-hide-likes="false" data-hide-comments="false" data-hide-sharing="false" data-hide-download="true">Listen to "Whats The Why In Your Re-Invention" on Spreaker.</a><script async src="https://widget.spreaker.com/widgets.js"></script>

What's in your present day why?  That's a tough jaunt down an invisible trail of experiences.  To come up with a why versus to physically know your why are two completely different answers.  My why in 1975 as to why I was chasing a radio dream is nowhere near where my why is today.  Experience does that.  An ever changing atmosphere for other people shaping your expectations.  Call it what it is.  Your goals today are fed by pleasing those that drop a bunch of numbers into your bank account.  Endlessly we re-invent our aspirations and dreams.  Countless are the pits where we held ourselves accountable but must face what we see as failures in the mirror.  What's in your present place of why?  How do you fit yourself into what's taking place now?  Are you still trying to tie the strings of a pair of shoes worn in 1985?  I've stopped asking why and become focused on bringing the moment to life by understanding the presence of "Now."  Someone asked me about what it's like to have been married to two different people.  Did I still have feelings for the first?  How can I? Those days are nearly three decades gone.  Your job is no different.  Oh my I hear a lot from people still holding onto grudges created during moments that felt out of place before it became 2000.  It has nothing to do with your "Now" unless you're allowing what you can't change to be the decision maker.  Being aware of who you are right now doesn't demand an answer to a hidden away why.  Writing everyday puts the mind body and soul in the center of the journey.  The dog destroyed your house.  Materialistic.  Rather than asking why put your focus on how you can grow from the unexpected silence.  The other day we lost power at the movie theater.  Every computer bit the big one.  Guests were immediately upset because they couldn't get anything from concessions.  A man said to me, "This is my child's first movie experience and you are wrecking it."  Peacefully I invited him into the presence of "Now"  I didn't judge his anger.  I didn't measure his indifference with anyone else in a growing long line.  We gave him free popcorn.  I understood his why but it caused other people's why to become shaded with doubt.  How could a power surge beyond our control totally rip apart their movie experience?  I'm still not interested in the answer.  It happened.  Choosing peace over stress allowed the theater guests to enjoy mind blowing fresh free popcorn.  What's in your why?  Is it the answer you think it is?  Too much energy is wasted on becoming what you assume should happen.  Eat the popcorn and get back to me.
