Process Progress Equals Wow

Showing someone the importance of daily writing is an extremely difficult task. Nobody wants to write because the photograph of words ends up being tomorrows place of judgement. Learning how to trust the process is what creates progress. Today I open my writing. To not showcase but share a challenging storm. To read beyond the written words. For what was laid out on that day in November of 2015 is a brilliant tool for Oct 2016.

Why Do Cows Moo

As adults we've stopped asking ourselves why. When in reality every step and stop deserves to be studied. The best student in class is the greater teacher. Through teaching I'm able to see my own mistakes. It allows me to correct the habits. But does watching the student grow with their art truly make me a teacher. My job is to help open the creative path. Asking yourself questions leads you away from assumption.

The Lyrics From Billys Forest Chapter 41

How do you know God is speaking to you? Are they the positive words in your head and heart? What if God is also using what I call fade away thoughts. Those that get into the center of your thinking then quickly disappear by way of reshaping. To become fuel that which motivates you. How do you know when it's God?

Awareness

The rearview mirror is a great way to look at life. How often are you backing out of things but have no clue as to what you're about to hit? We go forward just to go backwards. We readjust to the right and left. But end up settling. Because no matter where you're backing the one thing you should've been doing is getting to where you needed to grow and it wasn't backing up.

The Moments After

Life moves too quickly. So fast that most of us have no clue about who what where why and when. Because I'm a daily writer. I'm often haunted by the moments after. My second book Another 1021 Thoughts deeply digs into the aftermath of September 11th. But the terrorism hasn't ended. November 15, 2015 another horrid event took place. The daily writing is very truthful to the moment not to serve my purpose in the present. But rather to help heal what once was. How then do you learn from it nearly a year later?

Post Production Blues

I've sat with multiple actors, musicians and comedians and talked openly about the horrid feeling of emptiness that consumes the mind body and soul after a performance. But I've never spoken with a preacher, minister or pastor after they've delivered the word in the pulpit then had to fade back into being a normal person. In November of 2015 I was blessed with the opportunity to share the word of God without knowing the after affects that would darken the world I was now part of.

Is It Safe To Write

I spent some time with Christopher Darden today. We spoke openly about writing. He doesn't feel its a great place to travel. Whereas I use writing as a connection to a lesson learned. But is it?

The Lyrics from The Poets Forest Chapter 40

How often do you feel as if you're buried under a lot of work or stress? What if God invited you to take all that has you covered and teach someone how not to become trapped? Here's the catch. You won't be given the identity of the person your struggles, challenges and victories have changed. Do you accept the mission or continue helping those you know?

The Arrival

Mood swings and indifference have always been my place of study. Maybe because the idea that your mind body and soul can change its direction without a signal is unfair. Then again. When you greet the everyday with the acceptance of there being an arrival. The waves and ways of the energy we carry always holds the signals being sent of there being change. Learning to study the arrival will put you in a better place every time.

Hearing The Calling

There was a step in my childhood bedroom. I used that step to share what I knew about God. My congregation was a collection of stuffed animals. Most of which I still have in my possession at 54 years old. Radio became my pulpit. Only to realize God's loving arms were tugging on my soul to locate the steps to his purpose.

Breaking Down The Process

Breaking down the process requires a level of spiritual connection as well as honesty with the entire self that brought you to the moment you're presently standing in. It's too easy to experience then set it aside. Mainly because life gives giving us things to do. Without realizing the situations that we're part of are physical tools in the process of path making.

Who Am I

I don't see anything wrong with asking, "Who am I?" I believe its very healthy to create blank spaces. I am _______. To label ourselves puts us on a path of what we feel is. But in reality it closes the door on what we need to become.

Where Does Time Go

I am a time freak. Three hours early is six hours too late. When we lose time. Where does it go? I'd like to get back what we so willingly toss aside. Or to latch back onto the time vibe that a boss feels belongs to them. Yet they leave on time for outside adventures like golf or to just go home without a cast of characters labeled employees. Where does time go when we lose it?

Blind Eye Fearful Soul

What does the blind eye tell the fearful soul? When tragic moments happen in our lives. The first thing we do? We stop breathing. If God is alive in your mind body and soul. Cutting off the oxygen moving inside shuts him down. Your heart. Your muscles. Your system of thought needs air to move forward. God gives us air to breathe for more than what you think.

Turning It Around

Someone recently took note of how these stories shared are changed in ways that take the light off the one doing the writing and put onto someone who might be going through the same experience. They wanted to know if I was still being faithful to the writer. What happens to the writer when he realizes it's probably going to be a subject on the air?

Daily Writer vs Daily Thinker

I am a free form writer. Does that make me a free form thinker? I believe businesses are designed today to bank on the free form of anything as long as you catch them in the middle and not the end result. The bend me shape me policy. Great idea but do it our way. We will train you at our expense. What we live everyday is a divided highway of decision making. Those labeled boss and the employee that keeps the boss employed. In everything we do there are separate points of views. One problem. Neither side wants to listen and or negotiate.

Feed Your Seed

We label days of the week. It motivates us to bend beyond the true shape or wall that stands in front of us. The idea of feeding the seed God wants us to become is the furthest part of your short term success story. The reasons for enduring good and bad seasons has nothing to do with your bad boss and everything to do with your excuses as to why you won't let yourself become what you were designed to live out.

Hmmm

I took a writing instrument with me into church. Not to take Biblical notes. Not to critique my incredible pastor. I wanted to document how the word of God moved through me. To better understand the power of his word and why it is that we explode with energy when the message reaches our soul. The lesson has taught me to be a better listener as well as activator.

The White Picket Fence

We are taught there's only one God. My favorite conversations are with pastors and ministers that allow the personal conversations to reach beyond what we should know and into what we assume. To me it creates a white picket fence approach to exploring. A somewhat dangerous walk and yet through a better relationship there is stronger thought.

Life After Our Quotes

I am a free form writer. That means I've given myself permission to never walk into a writing project holding the reins of a perfectionist. In October of 2015 three quick quotes leaped free from my writing instrument. Today August 31, 2016 we're stepping back to the moment and seeing what the writer was saying and asking, "Do I still believe?"

Daily Conversations

I've been blessed to get the opportunity to talk with a lot of creative minds. In every conversation I love taking the talk to that place. Where does it arrive from? Most laugh it off. While some will speak beyond the clouds and mountain tops. Having a creative mind and heart is something we've all been born with. It's a choice to set it free or close it off for others to see.

Don't Threaten...Teach

I ran from the world of religion when the preacher stood in front of his strong congregation and threatened each of us. We'd all burn in hell. God was in the mood to punish his people. So when a radio guest sends out the same vibration. I break free of the stage and peaceful move in a different direction.

The Transition

Every step we take. We transition. You don't have to stand in front of four hundred people or a tiny congregation to be asked to open your heart. The process of change endlessly goes unwritten. We don't take the time to study our behavior. We just keep walking. But if we understood the challenges and changes the mind moves through while sharing. The landing would be smoother.

Holy Is With Holes

The beauty of being a Christian is knowing the relationship with Christ is blessed by the presence of no judgement and unconditional love. Sadly it doesn't mean each of us are Heavenly protected. Too many walk into their everyday expecting God to do something. When in fact its never been written that way. Yes God is a loving God. But our wants and needs with all of our victories must also be looked upon as having moments of loss.

Waking Up Ugly

A man asked me this past week if I was a fake or if I was truly as passionate as I deliver. I began to ask myself, "Am I being too open with people?" Today I happened to come across a daily writing entry where I admitted to myself that I was waking up ugly. But as you listen to the writing you'll hear how the creative mind doesn't create divisions but proper decisions.

Legends Of Their Own Time

I can't go to a concert or movie without wondering why the connection has been made. I endlessly think about the paths that may have put us there during a different time. Or is it the first step of a new direction? So much is moving around us at all times. How often do you pay attention?

Who Is Your Passerby

Too many of us work too hard on trying to please the boss. And in that moment the hardship of everyday life is that your boss can fire you. Make a disconnection. Turn your life into a tortured terror until you quit. But for some reason we've become addicted to receiving their blessing. How many places on the map do you ignore because something as simple as a feather placed in front of your path was actually a message from God saying, "I love the way you fly."

Back To The Future

It doesn't matter how often we are told to live in the moment. We've all embraced the thought of going back to the future. To return to a moment where we can exchange a bad decision for something positive. It makes me wonder. If you had the ability to correct a moment. Would the memories created by your favorite songs in 2016 carry the same special feeling?

When Brilliant Fails

My favorite go to word is brilliant. I love the way it sounds. I love the energy it creates. But too often we don't get to experience brilliant. Most of us spend too much time trying to get back to where brilliant failed us so that we try it again and again. But it halts us from growing forward. Or does it?

Hello Mr Yesterday

We spend so much time wanting to change that we won't allow ourselves to change. We can't grow forward if every thought presented is an image of who you were yesterday. Bosses aren't interested in your growth forward. Yet we invest hours in making sure you keep your job. How's that fair? Build a stronger you by knowing exactly who you are. Bosses don't deserve to own you. You have the the right to share your art not stolen.

What If the Second Coming Was

A thought that enters a poet's heart doesn't demand attention. It's only a thought that made its way to paper. For if I had not said something makes me wonder how many others have set it aside. Being a writer means sharing. It represents nobody. But its through us that tomorrow arrives.

Why Do We Honor Lazy People

Why do we allow so many slow moving coworkers or family members control our end result? I believe we put them in front of us to slow us down. I believe lazy people are used to shape the bosses image. Lazy people are a vital part of our process. Until the lazy person leaves us dry.

Documenting the Conversations

There's a lot of energy being shared while the congregation gathers each Sunday. While some speak of the BBQ's and Birthdays and what they'll be doing later in the day. I choose to take ten minutes and have a conversation with God. Its become a habit to sit in a moment governed by Christ before setting my energy free to speak openly with others.

The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter Thirty Seven

A relationship with God requires more than a one time visit to church. In this chapter we talk about how a seven year heart attack anniversary isn't looked upon as being a negative but rather a journey beside God. One that has required more than the days counted and will be put into play.

Developing A Voice

Maybe its because I've been in radio for 37 years. Speaking in public isn't an issue for me. Where along the lines did the fear of people disappear? I believe its because I am a writer. When you allow the creative soul inside to have a voice on the outside. Being a speaker comes completely natural.

Give The Benefit Away

We get lost in our own dreams and thoughts without realizing that maybe the moment wasn't meant for us. I used to have a program director that would ask "Where's the benefit for the radio listener?" I began to realize, "In all that we do. What is the benefit for the passerby?"

The Doubter's Dance

The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter Thirty Six

I am a Poet One that just happens to write in a forest. As of late. I've been called to a special collection of trees at the Billy Graham Library. We don't know how long a season will be drawn out. We might be able to predict summer, winter and fall. But the human side of change and challenge is a journey made of processes. In chapter 36 we talk about how to measure where your patterns have placed you. Just like the wind. We can learn a lot from the distance we've traveled.

Beginning Middle and End

I love looking at things just to see if I can still see the beginning middle and end. And yet if you stand before people. What you hear is how energetic they are about quickly getting to the victory. Nobody has the time to play out the required journey.

It Was Here

We enjoy the opportunity to grow. The experience is why so many of us believe we are alive. But how often do you document the steps? God didn't just plant your seeds in the soil to grow in every direction. The wisdom of the universe is to see how you can make it stronger. By documenting the experiences the journey teaches tomorrows believers.

The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter Thirty Five

Throughout our lives we are endlessly reminded that change unfolds without signs of a warning. Decisions are made that reshape the paths we cross. It's easy to showcase the act of being grateful during good times. But have you ever gone back and thanked someone for the bad times? Your life grew greater because of the moment. Without it. You might not be where you stand in victory today.

Seasons Come Then Grow

http://www.spreaker.com/user/arroe/seasons-come-then-go We talk to ourselves a lot. But rarely do most of us not write the messages down. I use the moments to further my growth not today. But in the months ahead. It's almost like storing a fuel supply for those moments when life seems to be dry.

The Lyrics From Billys Forest Chapter Thirty Four

We walk on many paths but do we know how much change has taken place. Why is it after the long dry spell of not seeing someone we know the first thing we notice is how old they've grown? But you don't feel older. Spiritually speaking has that path changed as well?

Life Got In The Way

I had dinner with friends. People I hadn't seen in seven years. It all moves too fast. Our only agreed upon reaction as to why we hadn't met in the chapters before was: Life got in the way. It got me thinking. How many invisible things of importance do we set aside because life is calling us to keep up with an always changing society?

The Field Not The Farmer

Too often we pick our own totem animal. We do the same as Christians. We think we know what God is doing with us. When in fact that you might be the seed more than the one planting it. You might be the raindrop that brings life from the sky. Who are we in God's heart and hands?

Out Of Control Seasonal Changes

We spend too much time trying to break free of our personal seasonal changes. We drink coffee to lift up our spirit. We shop, over eat, drive to far away places. We stir up trouble in other peoples lives because we feel they too should endure the seasonal change. How can we get back on a path of success? By becoming aware of how others have shaped you.

Wednesday, June 8, 2016

Look around you. Who in your circle is the thinker? The answer should be everybody. But we don't think like we were designed. It's easier to let others think for us. Only to complain about not getting a raise or included in the process of growing forward.

The Lyrics from Billy's Forest Chapter Thirty Three

I am a poet. One that happens to write in a forest. As of late. I've been called to write inside a special circle of trees at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte NC. In chapter thirty three we openly speak about how life moves so quickly and yet God's fruit seems to grow so slow. What if we took the time to observe what God has given us and relaxed on harvesting until he has given us permission?

I Am Creating Tomorrow

How often does God speak to you only to find that it's just part of the noise? Being alive in the moment requires the awareness of a greater teacher. But if all we do is surround ourselves with what we assume. The true answer as to why success keeps sitting on the edge and not in the center of your life will never be unveiled. Learning to hear the message. Then activate the calling.

Taking Stops When Giving Does

I tend to write a lot about the word "Take." There are some paragraphs you'll never get to see. That's the kind of impact the word "Take" has on my paths of choice. I'm not alone. Everywhere you look. Something near you has been taken. But how do you get it to stop?

The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter Thirty Two

I am a Poet. One that happens to write in a forest. As of late. I've been called to write inside a special collection of trees at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte NC. In chapter thirty two. The focus is put on how we allow thoughts to travel. Most are shoved aside. When in fact God gives us thoughts to inspire us to move forward.

Success Fath And Hope

If you were given the chance to answer this question: What is life? How would you proceed to reply? Do the paths we walk teach or take away? Learning to put energy in the right places is a great place to start. But then you bump into a tree. It never moves. And yet it's so grateful to the sun.

Passing A Note to Your Future Self

The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter Thirty One

I am a Poet. One that just happens to write in a forest. As of Late. I've been called to a special circle of trees at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte NC. In Chapter Thirty One we talk about the way Taker's believe they are only receiving what we are giving, They see nothing wrong with being a Taker. As long as you have what they need. How then do you take from Christ? Do you bring to Jesus just as much as he is delivering?

The Path Maker

Are we truly on a path? Or is it the bosses wish and commands that make up your visions? Gaining the strength to stand up straight isn't going against company policy. Not utilizing the gifts God gave you is the misunderstanding.

Overcoming Business Breakdowns

I'm amazed at how many people are walking through malls and parks with their shoulders slumped over. And you can't blame it on the smart phone. Employees need to be motivated to walk straight. They need to be influenced to trust in greater creations. But that's not how the ball is bouncing. If what you get at work is your mindset at home. How can you begin to think you can lead your own life?

The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter Thirty

I am a Poet. One that just happens to write in a forest. As of late. I've been called to a specially collection of tress at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte NC. In chapter thirty we talk about how the birth of a new season goes un-watched. We experience it. But we don't physically see the every changes. Therefore we tend to let go.

God Speaks Through Storms

Don't we all feel pretty weird when suddenly a thought or feeling takes over our body? When I was a kid I watched television preachers talk about how God was moving through them. I was amazed! I also wanted to experience it. What if God truly does talk to us and we reacted?

The Thought Monster

I've always been a fan of thoughts. Which might be the reason why I'm given the incredible opportunity to interview some pretty well known creative minds. A thought has a story. It's part of a vine. It will have its fruitful days and its not so pleasant moments. But in the end. Thoughts are the dots on the map that make us who we are.

Through A Writers Eyes

One day last September my writing instrument wasn't spreading ink across my page. Easily I could've thrown a king sized fit. But instead. I reached for my ink well. Several months later I look back at the moment and see that's how we treat spirituality. When we think God isn't working. We reach for other means.

Wise And Dumb Makeup Wisdom

I love breaking down words. To see as well as feel their impact. Learning from their presence in our today and how we can use them as a tool tomorrow.

The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter Twenty Nine

I am a Poet. One that just happens to write in a forest. As of late. I've been called to a special collection of trees at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte NC. But is this the final chapter? How do you best handle a new way when God is leading the way?

Is The Face Of God In Your Shadow

We get it. The shadow is only created when the light is set. It doesn't make it perfect. Nor does a shadow seem to care for more or less. It's just there. What if the shadow is the shape of something created by the sun that shows how close God is next to you?

10 Minutes Before The Lights Go Out: The Length Of God's Time

The rains came and totally took out the deficit. Instantly overnight the drought was gone. So many times we want God to work that same miracle in our lives. Jesus! Please do it now! When in fact. If you pull the picture back. To get to this moment required a journey.

Trees That Speak Make Writers Out Of You And Me

You'll never hear me say, "I have to lecture tonight." It is a blessing to have the opportunity to be open. These are never my words. For where the words come from on a sheet of paper are the experiences lived by the tree. It's my job to remove the dust off the paper so the words can be seen.

Separated Rock Formations

People say the darnedest things. People also write the darnedest things. Have you ever reached back to study your writing path? Why did you think like that within that moment. Life is about lessons. When you reenter the writing space you're much wiser and the soul loves you for the lessons learned.

Allowed To Visit But You Cannot Stay

Living in the present is a very difficult task. We've planted so many seeds in our past that weeds and vines infect everything on the newly shaped paths. Therefore we spend a lot time trying to predict ourselves free to locate peace.

The Lyric From Billy's Forest Chapter Twenty Seven

I am a Poet. One that happens to write in a forest. As of late I've been called to a circle of trees at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, NC. In Chapter Twenty Seven I write about a rock with in the beautiful array of colors. Although not as huge as a house. It made me think of the rock Jesus spoke of while with Peter.

Giving In Giving Up The Modern Giver

I endlessly bump into people who brag of being The Giver. I love listening to how someone sacrifices what little time we're given and gives to the community. But what many of us don't realize is how much of a Giver we are. We give in. We give up. So that others can live better than the gifts that God gave us.

Breaking Down The Separated Self

I keep bumping into people that seem to be doing what other people want them to do. Not what they set out to accomplish. Decision makers tend to push open their dreams rather than allowing the worker bee to concentrate on what makes them unique. By the time you hit a certain age. The ambition to grow in life is gone. How can we change that?

Doing Whatever You Can To Get By

We've all heard it. I'm just trying to do whatever it takes to get by. To which I ask, "To get by what?" Its time to stop sluggishly moving through the motions of life like a dog locked in a cage. But how? It's all about the attitude we put into the steps of failure.

The Lyrics from Billy's Forest Chapter Twenty Six

I am a Poet. One that happens to write in a forest. As of late I've been called to a special circle of trees. The Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, NC. In chapter 26 we talk about endlessly being asked, "How's your day?" What if we began telling the truth. But so many of us hide behind the simple most available answers, "Oh it's fine."

OPT Other People's Time

I'm not one that puts a lot of faith in being late. I can't stand it when others do it to me... Why would I want to do it to them? But that's not how we live in 2016. It's acceptable to be late. Yet we get upset when the fast food restaurant makes you pull up and wait for a hot fresh chicken wrap.

What Is A Month Versus A Moment

What is a month versus a moment? We get what we want instantly. Therefore what we call a moment can easily be lost on a list of months. How can we savor a moment longer if the act of searching has grown into being serviced? Your legacy will be? Not if there aren't any moments...

My Window Is Paul Stanley's Canvas Art

I almost feel like the enabler. This show is designed to share information. And yet the feature today is based on taking in too much information. What do we do with it? I've always believed the human mind is going to implode because we're putting too much in and not giving away. Art work on a canvas serves as my place of control alt delete. Or reset. In front of me every morning I write. Each night when I get home. It's an authentic painting hand signed by Paul Stanley of KISS. I don't own it because of who he is or what he's done. The energy reached through him. Then through me. Through you and whomever you will come in contact with.

The Distance The Imagination Is Allowed To Travel

Just saying the title ignites energy. Because the follow up sentence has the ability to build. It's when we stop creating that suddenly there's silence. We put so much blame on other people for our reasons of hitting a wall. And yet... it's a choice to stop. We elect to turn it off. Create a sentence that ignites energy. I am _____ is a line Pastor Steven Furtick has been teaching. Put forth the process of growth and fruit will soon appear.

Talent Isn't A Trophy It's A Label

I was recently called a cynic. To which I laughed off. Then the voices in my head and heart took over. The names we so freely shove onto each others paths are what I call invisible weapons of acceptance. The verbal abuse that we've allowed to take place is an avenue that requires correction. But who has the courage to step forward and ask those in use to free you from the injury?

The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter Twenty Five

I am a Poet. One that happens to write in a forest. As of late. I've been called to a special collection of trees at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, North Carolina. In chapter twenty five I write while sitting inside the forest covered with white snow. I use the snow as a means to listen to God whispering. To help free all that's been trapped inside a seed.

Ground Cover

I believe in the spirit of creative energy. Each person has it. Most don't get to use it. The language we speak and or write is easily written off as being something people don't understand. Therefore decision makers are quick to rely on those that speak their street. So much is lost. But it can be regained.

The Business Of You

There is so much stress at the workplace. I believe its because bad bosses get away with abusing their employees. When questioned. Its no different than domestic violence. The boss pleads, "If you only knew how much pressure I'm under." Nobody not even HR is going to protect the employee. Therefore the employee needs to remove the name tag. You are the President and CEO of the business of self. You aren't an employee. Your boss is the client.

Who Do You Serve

The food chain of business. When you do what do you daily. Do you know the importance of passing your positive energy forward all the way to the consumer? Sounds odd right? Businesses today are run by bad decision makers and leaders that demand more than they lead. That energy transfers through you straight to the consumer. Business goes down then it infects you again. How can we move away from the negative vibrations of lurking bad boss?

The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter Twenty Three

I am a Poet. One that happens to write in a forest. As of late. I've been called to a very special circle of trees at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, NC. In chapter twenty three we put focus on how God shares his gifts every day. But most people tend to question the arrival. It's hard for them to understand the arrival of a blessing. When we question God. We question ourselves. That in itself leads to doubt. And all that was once meant as a new step or beginning. Fades...

What Do You Feel

I've never been a fan of the weatherman. They make us feel guilty that we're 2.5 inches below normal. There's nothing we can do about it. But what happens when our own lives are 2.5 inches below normal energy, desire, dreams and spirituality? Who becomes the proper messenger?

A Game Of Coup

The other morning I spent some time with a man who has written speeches for two U.S. presidents. We got on the subject of God. A conversation. Neither of us go to the same church. Yet we spoke freely about each others beliefs and understandings. But in everyday life it doesn't always move so smooth. It's almost as if churches are wearing jerseys. From the distance it looks like a game of Coup. But doesn't it qualify as such a game when people are getting hurt?

Sent

I'm always amazed at how powerful other peoples words are. Most don't even know it. Words and wisdom move through each of us. We've been sent to a moment. Then walk away with our heads hung low because we're still missing the one thing we want most in life. If you ask you'll get a list of multiple desires. But what if we changed our view from having done. To doing.

The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter Twenty Two

I am a Poet. I write in a forest. As of late. I've been called to a special collection of trees at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, NC. In Chapter Twenty Two we explore the mountains we're forced to climb daily. Only to realize there'll be more tomorrow. And again the next day. How can we locate peace if all we're doing is climbing? These aren't my words. These are the lyrics from Billy's forest.

Being In That Place How Do You Get Back

Solitude. Peace. Being alone. We've all felt it. But how do you get back? I share with you two different creative rivers that know where such a place exists. And each that have journeyed are not wrong with their handwritten behavior. Its your choice to hold the map. Or play the endless daily guessing game. Which usually leads to placing blame on everything but the maker of the experience.

I Ask Because You Dont

I'm not sure what I was like during my terrible twos. I know at 53 I ask a lot of questions. And because I ask so many. When I'm invited to lecture. The first thing I do is open the floor for anyone to bring their questions. Most people don't. And yet... They are in their seats. They could've stayed home or gone to a movie. But beyond my explanation. They elected to stop by to hear someone speak. I start with giving them the opportunity to ask questions.

I Was There I Am Here Now

So many times we learn from the lessons delivered. But never take the time to document the last time you were on this very path. Nothing rots my gut more than hearing someone say, "How many times do I have to tell you?" Documenting the journey isn't about collecting bread crumbs. I was there. I am here now. Isn't an invitation to live in the past. It's a voice from the inside soul that keeps knocking on the door you said would always be open. Your eyes might be. But your dreams are locked up in a place of unfiltered demand and torture.

Moving Ahead To Step Back

I'm not a fan of moving the hands of time. I get why we do it. We're just trying to keep up with the earth. But wait. If we spring forward in March. Why do we fall back in October? It teaches each of us to have a desire to move but make sure you keep a firm grip on the idea of stepping back to the channels that created the beginning.

Without Banks and Shorelines

We've allowed ourselves to speak our minds. Maybe it's a Facebook or Twitter thing. Either way... the physical presence of what we think is starting to get in the face of others. Is the solution the answer or should we find peace in the awareness of the new beginning. Our outside shell has become a shield. Therefore we are designed to defend.

The Weight Of The Mirror

My entire life. I've stopped and stared at the image in the mirror. It acts as if it knows more than I do. It's been my best friend when nobody else wanted the job. It's held every decision good and bad. The image in the mirror though can't heal a broken heart.

The Writing Selfie

I selfie. Not just pictures. But writing! And it's within those selfie's that I find shock. A lot of new beginnings were talked about before they actually took shape. Beginning Middle Beginning

Too often we put our energized focus on the end rather than the second beginning. Wow... just saying that opens my heart to the idea of. Too many times we realize Jesus is coming a second time without putting focus on the affects of the arrival. In everyday life we want to hurry up and get to the end. Only to realize that there's a revision. We complain about having to take two steps back. Therefore we should train our paths to have a beginning, middle then beginning. I don't believe in ends.

Rivers Rocks And Automatic Rewind

I don't know if its because I'm from Montana. I've always been connected with the natural elements that which makes up our present moment. I've spent my entire life trying to understand the process of growing forward and outward. Writing has always been my guide. This collection of words is very deep and yet its extremely spiritual. Our lives are no different than a river. But how many stones are you collecting to dam raindrops from reaching the ocean?

Any Damn Pen

I am a pen snob. I purchase writing instruments that speak to me. I will rarely use just any damn pen. I have to have a relationship with the tip or nib of the writing instrument. I have to know the inner soul of what's going to carry my thoughts onto the playing field of a physical presence. But on this day. I challenged myself to use any damn pen. Just to see if such an object would create a reason for my creative self to go silent.

Doubting The Doubter To Create Mood Swings

I write each day at 5:30. Some might call me insane. And yet I know for a fact that the desire to be creative actually started 4.5 hours earlier. How often do you shove aside a hidden desire for such a long period of time? By the time I roll out of bed and put a writing instrument in my hand. That creative side of my personality is upset. It had to wait a very long time to dump thoughts onto a page. And with that creative mind he's got a bully for a buddy. The Doubter...

Break Your Circles and Create Lines

What is the difference between reality and fate? So many of us invest a lot of time and energy in fate. Only to see that when reality bites. It's never what you expected. We keep waiting for the sign to move forward. What if you already hold the gift that shapes the key? What's keeping you from walking through the door. I believe it's because we're walking in circles. It's time to shatter the shape and create lines.

The Visual Of The Inner Core

The walls that we build while wandering through an everyday world. It's what's behind those walls that stories wish and hope to be shared. But fear of escaping the human shell due 100% by an outside audience always locked on bullying you into believing in their success and not yours. I don't believe dreams pass with the chapters already written. Your journey is behind that wall. It's time to crack it. Let the vine grow through it and bring fruits of success to your soil.

Hiding Your Writing

I'm convinced that the recession of 2008 has done more invisible damage to the average person than any decision we have the power to make. While corporate America tried to keep itself alive. Employees sacrificed their personal lives just to keep the lights on. Now that the recession is a chapter of our past. We are still being used in ways that bring deep damage to the success of the worker bee. In that thought I say we are cutters. The damage we are doing to our invisible inside is no different than a cutter making marks on their arm. You want to stop doing what you're doing. But its difficult to walk away from the reasons why you can't make a change.

Nor do I know what's been written until we meet today on iHeart Radio. Today's story is haunting in the way that we allow the voices in our head and heart control all things that pass us by. We can be solid as rock on any given Sunday. Only to become carriers of sand by Monday.

Reactivation Without Judging Your Past

Why are we so tired? Is it because we spend so much time searching? Or have we become addicted to fake coffee highs and need to feel like that all the time? With Or Without

The things we once thought. How do they continue to control who you are today? The moment might be over. But the weight that which you carry is still inside your memory. How can we learn from all things we experience if what we are given is a new chapter everyday. Now you have a reason to write.

Dont Let Stress Talk

Now that Valentines Day is over... Where's all that love? Damn! We have to wait another 365 days? Love is the one thing that we can easily toss to the side. Then spend the rest of our lives wondering why something didn't work out. How do you know what you want to love if you have no idea who you are? Do you take daily notes? Can you see tomorrow before it arrives? What is love if what we love doesn't include ourselves?

Mile Marker One

Learning to live in the present is a very difficult task. It reaches beyond the divisions. It's no different than playing sports. You need to begin small and grow large. Why is being in the present so important? Because your past has excess weight that no longer needs your decisions to keep it alive. Life is the physical act of moving forward. You are who you are because of what became. Allow the energy to move through you so that tomorrow can bring you peace.

What Does The Page Say

I write every day. But I never know how the page feels about such an escape. Am I invading its space by placing my thoughts within its veins? Who speaks first? The page? Or the writer? Black Clouds

How often do we wonder about the black clouds above our heads? Have you ever wondered about its importance in your everyday? Something has to bring water to the seeds you carry. Learning to trust whats in the cloud could be that single most important step in your desire to grow forward. The beauty of the grand canyon is the physical creation of a river. Without dark clouds that river would be nothing more than rocks. Learn to study where the water comes from.

Stop Swaying From The Swing

It's almost too easy to tell others that we are moody. Some chase down doctors to get medication. While countless others think they can handle it without the confession. We aren't one shape. Our mind body and soul are pieces parts of every person we've met. And if you believe in universal powers... then you already know that spirit guides and keepers are endlessly moving through you. But when you're not in the mood. Then here it comes: anger, depression, guilt and shame.

Where Are You

I spent some time yesterday with author and psychic Deborah Graham. Her new book is based on building a firm shape of love. It begins with getting to know yourself. Many of us have no clear path to that vision. We wake up each day and arrive in a pair of shoes that may or might give you comfort. But are you comfortable in the shell you carry? Getting to know yourself... It's a task for many. But once you allow that inner you to grow outward the true journey begins. But how do you get there?

The Lyrics From Billys Forest Chapter Fifteen

I am a Poet. That just happens to write in a forest. As of late. I've been called to a circle of trees at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, NC. In Chapter 15 the writer brings to life the people places and things that seem to be wrong in our lives. And yet if we truly believe in individuality... life itself is Jazz. The art of the expression is to include all elements. There are supposed to be pieces and parts that don't feel right. But in the distance your life to a passerby carries with it harmony.

Cloudy Mind Faint Heart Palms That Wont Hold

We Can All Relate

Too often our bright beautiful days turn into nightmares thanks in part of the words of someone close to our hearts. Within a whisper that huge moment of feeling great turns to darkness. I bet you can't on both hands the number of people you meet that tell you they can't grow forward because its not part of their purpose. Better yet... how many people do you meet during the average week that endlessly talk about how they are still searching for their purpose? What if the journey began with a better understanding of what the reason is?

What Does Your Anger Believe

So often we find ourselves arguing with people just to release the pain from our hearts. We create the indifference to release without having to go shopping, drink or take drugs. Bashing up an outside friendship seems safer. When in reality it keeps us from building a firm foundation of team work and or connection. How do we get beyond the angers tucked within? Know what your anger believes in.

The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter Thirteen

I am a Poet. I write in a forest. As of late. I've been called to a different collection of trees. The tiny gathering at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, NC. Today's story puts focus on how God speaks to each of us in a unique way. But in these chapters of digital connections. Are you hearing the word of God? Or wandering through life believing that checking into a church message on the radio is satisfying enough?

Losing Music Heroes

The loss of Lemmy from Motorhead, David Bowie and Glenn Frey of the Eagles has had a huge impact on the world. These are the storytellers that penned out the soundtrack to our lives. Vintage Roots To Modern Steps

I call it junk shopping. Walking into antique stores to sift through the boxes within boxes within boxes. I usually pop my head out holding up a vintage writing instrument. The goal is to take it home and allow it to write it again and again. A continuation of a thought. But what do we learn from this? That many of us have stuffed ourselves in a box to do nothing more than wait for something to walk by and spot us.

The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter Twelve

I am a Poet that happens to write in a forest. As of late. I've been invited to write within a collection of trees located at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, NC. I never go into the forest knowing what will be written. And I never stop to read what has been delivered. Not until the moment I sit inside this recording studio and share the story.

Sandy Seashells

13 days into a brand new year and people have already labeled themselves a failure. The diet isn't working. Nobody is answering your phone calls. The jobs aren't chasing your dreams. The journey seems pointless. Life isn't a seashell. And yet we treat ourselves like one. We want someone to come by and pick us up so we can all live happily ever after sitting in a jar by the sofa. I think its time to start collecting raindrops.

When Memories No Longer Matter

I sat with a friend last night. He's in hospice. He said to me, "I've come to terms." It made me think. How many times in our living life filled the power of choice... do we come to terms?

Learning The Way Of The Way

What is creativity? How does it play out in your life? Some say they're creative. While others claim they have no such bone in their body. I tend to argue. I believe your purpose in life to take what you create to the people. But because we fear judgement. We shut down. We turn our backs on The Way. Then spend the rest of our lives wondering what if? Or doing jobs you truly can't stand but you live with it.

One Step Out Of The Hole

It's completely natural to want to stop doing things. But we never stop to think how many people it infects. I call it a moment of selfishness. When we suddenly turn things off. Not show up for work. Set aside a trip with the family. Create sickness as the excuse when the reality is... You just wanted to turn things off for a moment. To reboot and or unplug.

Not The Person You Think

I'm interviewed a lot. But those asking questions never seem to get past the areas where I'm best known. I think we all go through this. We have these images projected on a screen. Only to realize what everybody is seeing truly isn't who we are. It's almost as if you want to interrupt the interviewer and say, "Let me tell you the real story."
