I had dinner with friends. People I hadn't seen in seven years. It all moves too fast. Our only agreed upon reaction as to why we hadn't met in the chapters before was: Life got in the way. It got me thinking. How many invisible things of importance do we set aside because life is calling us to keep up with an always changing society?

Too often we pick our own totem animal. We do the same as Christians. We think we know what God is doing with us. When in fact that you might be the seed more than the one planting it. You might be the raindrop that brings life from the sky. Who are we in God's heart and hands?

What we think today. Will it be fuel for tomorrow? If what you think today is brought up a different day... is it living in the past? Learning how to activate a thought in the present is a first step toward locating peace in the now.

Out Of Control Seasonal Changes

We spend too much time trying to break free of our personal seasonal changes. We drink coffee to lift up our spirit. We shop, over eat, drive to far away places. We stir up trouble in other peoples lives because we feel they too should endure the seasonal change. How can we get back on a path of success? By becoming aware of how others have shaped you.

Look around you. Who in your circle is the thinker? The answer should be everybody. But we don't think like we were designed. It's easier to let others think for us. Only to complain about not getting a raise or included in the process of growing forward.

I am a poet. One that happens to write in a forest. As of late. I've been called to write inside a special circle of trees at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte NC. In chapter thirty three we openly speak about how life moves so quickly and yet God's fruit seems to grow so slow. What if we took the time to observe what God has given us and relaxed on harvesting until he has given us permission?

I Am Creating Tomorrow

How often does God speak to you only to find that it's just part of the noise? Being alive in the moment requires the awareness of a greater teacher. But if all we do is surround ourselves with what we assume. The true answer as to why success keeps sitting on the edge and not in the center of your life will never be unveiled. Learning to hear the message. Then activate the calling.

Learning how to walk through walls teaches us that tomorrow's challenges could be a shorter fall. We tend to set a lot of things aside. I wonder how much life we left behind.

I tend to write a lot about the word "Take." There are some paragraphs you'll never get to see. That's the kind of impact the word "Take" has on my paths of choice. I'm not alone. Everywhere you look. Something near you has been taken. But how do you get it to stop?
