Trees That Speak Make Writers Out Of You And Me

You'll never hear me say, "I have to lecture tonight." It is a blessing to have the opportunity to be open. These are never my words. For where the words come from on a sheet of paper are the experiences lived by the tree. It's my job to remove the dust off the paper so the words can be seen.

Separated Rock Formations

People say the darnedest things. People also write the darnedest things. Have you ever reached back to study your writing path? Why did you think like that within that moment. Life is about lessons. When you reenter the writing space you're much wiser and the soul loves you for the lessons learned.

Allowed To Visit But You Cannot Stay

Living in the present is a very difficult task. We've planted so many seeds in our past that weeds and vines infect everything on the newly shaped paths. Therefore we spend a lot time trying to predict ourselves free to locate peace.

The Lyric From Billy's Forest Chapter Twenty Seven

I am a Poet. One that happens to write in a forest. As of late I've been called to a circle of trees at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, NC. In Chapter Twenty Seven I write about a rock with in the beautiful array of colors. Although not as huge as a house. It made me think of the rock Jesus spoke of while with Peter.

Giving In Giving Up The Modern Giver

I endlessly bump into people who brag of being The Giver. I love listening to how someone sacrifices what little time we're given and gives to the community. But what many of us don't realize is how much of a Giver we are. We give in. We give up. So that others can live better than the gifts that God gave us.

Breaking Down The Separated Self

I keep bumping into people that seem to be doing what other people want them to do. Not what they set out to accomplish. Decision makers tend to push open their dreams rather than allowing the worker bee to concentrate on what makes them unique. By the time you hit a certain age. The ambition to grow in life is gone. How can we change that?

Doing Whatever You Can To Get By

We've all heard it. I'm just trying to do whatever it takes to get by. To which I ask, "To get by what?" Its time to stop sluggishly moving through the motions of life like a dog locked in a cage. But how? It's all about the attitude we put into the steps of failure.

The Lyrics from Billy's Forest Chapter Twenty Six

I am a Poet. One that happens to write in a forest. As of late I've been called to a special circle of trees. The Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, NC. In chapter 26 we talk about endlessly being asked, "How's your day?" What if we began telling the truth. But so many of us hide behind the simple most available answers, "Oh it's fine."

OPT Other People's Time

I'm not one that puts a lot of faith in being late. I can't stand it when others do it to me... Why would I want to do it to them? But that's not how we live in 2016. It's acceptable to be late. Yet we get upset when the fast food restaurant makes you pull up and wait for a hot fresh chicken wrap.

What Is A Month Versus A Moment

What is a month versus a moment? We get what we want instantly. Therefore what we call a moment can easily be lost on a list of months. How can we savor a moment longer if the act of searching has grown into being serviced? Your legacy will be? Not if there aren't any moments...

My Window Is Paul Stanley's Canvas Art

I almost feel like the enabler. This show is designed to share information. And yet the feature today is based on taking in too much information. What do we do with it? I've always believed the human mind is going to implode because we're putting too much in and not giving away. Art work on a canvas serves as my place of control alt delete. Or reset. In front of me every morning I write. Each night when I get home. It's an authentic painting hand signed by Paul Stanley of KISS. I don't own it because of who he is or what he's done. The energy reached through him. Then through me. Through you and whomever you will come in contact with.

The Distance The Imagination Is Allowed To Travel

Just saying the title ignites energy. Because the follow up sentence has the ability to build. It's when we stop creating that suddenly there's silence. We put so much blame on other people for our reasons of hitting a wall. And yet... it's a choice to stop. We elect to turn it off. Create a sentence that ignites energy. I am _____ is a line Pastor Steven Furtick has been teaching. Put forth the process of growth and fruit will soon appear.

Talent Isn't A Trophy It's A Label

I was recently called a cynic. To which I laughed off. Then the voices in my head and heart took over. The names we so freely shove onto each others paths are what I call invisible weapons of acceptance. The verbal abuse that we've allowed to take place is an avenue that requires correction. But who has the courage to step forward and ask those in use to free you from the injury?

The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter Twenty Five

I am a Poet. One that happens to write in a forest. As of late. I've been called to a special collection of trees at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, North Carolina. In chapter twenty five I write while sitting inside the forest covered with white snow. I use the snow as a means to listen to God whispering. To help free all that's been trapped inside a seed.

Raindrops of Positive Energy

What creates a lack of faith and or hope? Is it the doubter? How then can we strengthen the walk of the doubter? Can simple views of positive energy move a single raindrop from a dried river bed to an ocean floor?

Post Production Blues

Writers and other creative minds endlessly have secret arguments with their inner voices. But where do the fallen pieces drop? How do you prevent an argument from turning into a lifelong battle?

Ground Cover

I believe in the spirit of creative energy. Each person has it. Most don't get to use it. The language we speak and or write is easily written off as being something people don't understand. Therefore decision makers are quick to rely on those that speak their street. So much is lost. But it can be regained.

The Business Of You

There is so much stress at the workplace. I believe its because bad bosses get away with abusing their employees. When questioned. Its no different than domestic violence. The boss pleads, "If you only knew how much pressure I'm under." Nobody not even HR is going to protect the employee. Therefore the employee needs to remove the name tag. You are the President and CEO of the business of self. You aren't an employee. Your boss is the client.

The Lyrics From Billy's Forest Chapter Twenty Four

I am a Poet that just happens to write in a forest. As of late I've been called to write in a special circle of trees at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, NC. I never know what I'm going to write. Nor do I know what I've written until we meet here on iHeart Radio.

Say You Love Me

I was driving into the church parking lot. Fleetwood Mac's song Say You Love Me pops on the radio. I began to think, "How many times a day do we hear people say they love us. But the actions don't match the words?"

Trust The Self

Jot down a thought. Send yourself an email. Text yourself a note. Give the person on the inside a place to be heard. It will change your view of the world.
