It saddens me that so many radio station this past weekend broke format and played old American Top 40 shows that featured Casey Kasem. Radio stations that have and continue to fire Broadcasters from their positions of communication. Radio stations that brag of playing the music but fail to share the stories just like Casey Kasem. Radio fails to grip the journey. They'd rather cut and paste. Casey Kasem invited connection. Two dots. The artist and the listener. If Radio wants to pay tribute to one of the greatest storytellers of our time. Don't air the show! Hire Broadcasters! Teach the future of radio how to share stories like Casey. Get the physical act of one on one communication back on the air. Get Program Directors back into the seat of creating a connection with listeners. We can get a song from anywhere anytime. We can't pick up the art of what an on-air talent delivers unless there's a reason to want to listen. The fact that we are here in 2014 isn't the greatest moment inside our well talked about chapters. How we evolved into who we are is based on how God has worked through people. For God's word to work. He realized early...use real people. Use their voices to influence and or inspire. Be real and there will be art.
